Aluminium French Doors: Woking, Surrey

The Project

These particular clients of ours had lived in their home for 31 years but they were preparing to downsize. However, due to their love of the area, they decided to stay put and renovate their home using the money they would have spent on moving.

For their renovation project, they knocked down the wall between their kitchen and utility room, creating a beautiful open space. However, the old window in the utility room was not conducive to the open feel they were attempting to create. Therefore, it needed to be replaced with something that would open up their home to the outdoors.

Having used us before to repair the windows on their home, this client was well aware of their excellent credentials so they sought us again to fit a set of aluminium French doors to their home.

How we helped

As their property was fitted with aluminium windows, it was important that any new additions to the exterior of their home were in keeping with them. Fortunately, aluminium was the material chosen, ensuring the exterior of their property looked seamlessly stylish. As aluminium is immensely durable, resistant to corrosion and easy to clean, our client will now be able to enjoy all the benefits provided by the doors for years to come and with the absolute minimum of fuss.

French doors are mostly made up of high-quality, thermally efficient glazing. Not only does this ensure that huge amounts of light could now make its way inside our client’s home but it also meant that they could enjoy crystal-clear views of their outside space. Combined with the classic two-door opening of French doors, a truly open and airy feel was created for their home.

Despite opening up their home, however, the combination of thermally efficient glazing and the polyamide thermal barriers that feature in the aluminium frames of our French doors ensured warmth was not given an open passageway to the outside. Instead, plenty of warmth will be retained in their home, ensuring it feels cosy and comfortable throughout the year.

As our French doors come fitted with the latest multi-point locking systems which are expertly concealed, the route into their home is now firmly closed for unwanted intruders too.
